United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

The United Nations Security Council is the primary body responsible for maintaining international peace and security. Comprising 15 member states, including 5 permanent members with veto power, it addresses global conflicts, authorizes peacekeeping missions, and imposes sanctions or other measures to mitigate threats to peace. Its mandate also includes addressing issues such as terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and humanitarian crises. Through resolutions and diplomatic efforts, the UNSC seeks to resolve conflicts and promote stability worldwide.
